Hello #LoyalRoyals

We love new fun & festive recipes – something a little offcentre, that will make people smile (in the cooking and the eating!). This year, our Christmas Tree Pull-Apart Bread with Pesto is bringing all the joy ✨

Make this a festive family cooking project with your children. It’s easy to make, good-looking and tastes fantastic 🎄

Please share the love and tag us if you make this!

You’ll need

500g ready-made bread dough (available at most bakery counters in supermarkets). If you would like to make your own dough, head this way for the recipe.
125g cream cheese, room temperature
1 heaped Tbsp Pesto Princess Sundried Tomato Pesto
2 Tbsp butter, melted
Fresh parsley, finely chopped, to serve
Dipping sauce, to serve (you can either use a little Sundried Tomato Pesto thinned with a splash of boiling water and some olive oil to make a quick dip or our Pesto Princess Fresh Tomato Sauce works well too – warmed gently and served as is, or with a pinch of chilli flakes to spice things up a bit).

How to

1. Combine the cream cheese with Pesto Princess Sundried Tomato
Pesto.

2. Pinch off equal sized dough balls, about golf-ball size.

3. On a floured surface, flatten each ball into a disc. Place a disc into the palm of your hand or on the counter and  scoop the cream cheese filling into the dough. Pinch closed.

4. Line a large baking sheet with baking paper, and arrange the filled dough balls in a Christmas tree shape. We started with two balls as the base, then a row of 6 side-by-side, then a row of 5 side-by-side and so on.

5. Bake at 180°C for between 20 and 25 minutes until golden brown.

When cooked, remove from the oven, brush the tops with melted butter sprinkle with parsley, and serve with your dip of choice!
