Homemade Seasalt and Rosemary Crackers

Pesto Princess Hummus

Hello #LoyalRoyals

It is with a flourish that we present to you our brand new Pesto Princess Hummus! We’ve been working on this recipe for years now – doing our very best to ensure it has no preservatives, colourants or nasties without compromising its creamy, nutty taste – and we’re delighted with the result!

Your Pesto Princess Hummus is in the fridges of top SPAR stores throughout the Western Cape. Let it be the star of the show on many summer picnics. Here we’ve teamed it with homemade rosemary and sea salt crackers – totally delicious and super easy to make!

With love and thanks for your ongoing support

You will need

2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2/3 cup warm water
1/3 cup olive oil + extra for brushing
Rosemary and sea salt for garnishing

How to

1. Mix the flour, baking powder, salt, water, and olive oil together in a bowl to create the dough for the crackers.

2. Knead the dough until all the flour is absorbed and the dough is smooth. You can use a stand mixer and dough hook for this step or do it by hand.

3. Roll the dough out to 1 or 2 mm thick. Cut into rectangles, place on a baking sheet and brush with olive oil before sprinkling with sea salt and fresh chopped rosemary.

4. Place in a pre-heated oven of 220°C for about 10-14 minutes, until golden brown and crisp.

Serve as a snack with our brand new and oh so tasty Pesto Princess Hummus.
