Available position
Inventory Controller
South Peninsula, Cape Town
R300 000 – R336 000 + Provident Fund
Great food starts with great control.
At Pesto Princess Foods, we make fresh, preservative-free products enjoyed across South Africa. Our facility runs on care, precision, and rhythm — and stock control is what keeps everything flowing.
We’re looking for an Inventory Controller who takes pride in getting the details right. Someone who notices what others miss, keeps things organised under pressure, and understands that small errors can have big consequences.
You’re responsible for
- Keeping accurate, real-time control of raw materials and finished goods
- Managing stock using FIFO principles — no waste, no surprises
- Running weekly and month-end stock counts, and owning the numbers
- Investigating variances and resolving issues quickly and thoroughly
- Ensuring stock is correctly received, stored, and recorded
- Managing short-dated, damaged, or expired stock proactively
- Working closely with production to keep everything moving smoothly
What matters to us
- You’ve worked in stock control (2–5 years, ideally in food or FMCG)
- You have a tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management, or equivalent
- You’re confident on systems (Intermediate/Advanced Excel & Sage Evolution)
- You have a valid driver’s licence and your own transport
- You’re detail-oriented and numerically strong
- You’re hands-on and comfortable spending time on the factory floor
- You stay calm, focused, and solutions-driven under pressure
The environment
This is not a desk-only role. You’ll spend about half your time on the factory floor, in a fast-moving production environment, wearing protective gear and staying close to the action.
Employment equity
In line with our Employment Equity objectives, preference may be given to candidates from designated groups.
Our culture
We care — deeply. About our food, our customers, our team, and the impact we have.
If you care about doing excellent work, being part of a team that shows up for each other, and growing your capability, you’ll feel at home here.
