Role Overview

As a Retail Sales Representative, you play a crucial role in driving sales growth, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a strong presence in retail stores. Your primary objective will be to meet and exceed sales targets, while ensuring a seamless shopping experience for customers.

About Pesto Princess Foods
Pesto Princess manufactures fresh, preservative-free pesto sauces, soups, cooking sauces & dips sold through retail chains and food distributors nationwide. The factory is in a secure business park in the South Peninsula in Cape Town.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet and Exceed Sales Targets – Achieve sales goals with your thorough product knowledge, effective communication, and solid customer relationships.
• Provide Exceptional Customer Service – Greet customers, respond to inquiries, resolve issues promptly & professionally.
• Product Knowledge & Demonstration – Stay up to date on product features, benefits, and demonstrate products to customers effectively.
• Visual Merchandising – Ensure the shelves are clean, organized, and visually appealing, adhering to company standards.
• Collaborate with Colleagues – Work effectively with other sales representatives,
  managers, and staff to achieve sales goals and a consistent presence in stores.
• In-store Promotions – Weekly tastings done for customers in top stores

Requirements & Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in a sales representative role
• Valid drivers license & reliable vehicle
• Talent for selling with experience in retail
• Excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to think creatively and solve problems in a practical way.
• Patience and ability to engage customers in conversation.
• Tech savvy with a working knowledge of relevant computer software.
• The ability to handle rejection & pressure and to know when to ask for
  support.
• High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree or
  equivalent would be an asset.

Company Offering

• Gross annual salary R162 000 per annum (depending on experience)
• After a successful probation period, commission structure will be implemented.
• Company Provident Fund

Working Environment

You will spend most of your time in retail stores and visit the head office when required.
