Meet the Royal Family
HRH Kathleen Quillinan
#thepestoprincess In my twenties I had the romantic idea of becoming a professional opera diva. Then the reality of the lifestyle dawned on me: traipse around the world, live out of a suitcase, hardly see your family, be disciplined about what you eat and drink and NEVER get sick because then you can’t perform. So I switched from diva to princess, moved into the pesto palace and am living happily ever after.
Princess Anthea Govender
Royal Sales Coordinator
#thrillseeker To see me behind my desk, answering the palace ‘phone, you would never say that I am a thrill seeker. I have been cage diving, white water rafting, bungee jumping and even climbed Mount Kilimanjaro. When I go out it is usually to live music gigs or the theatre. Although I have the loudest voice at the palace, I also enjoy quiet things like reading or writing poetry.
Countess Caitlin Smith
Royal Sales Manager
#sociableandcurious My job at Pesto Princess doesn’t feel like a job. It has me doing things that come naturally to me, like hanging out in restaurants, making new friends, sampling delicious dishes and trying different wines. I love running, dislike the colour purple, and have an unreasonable fear of snakes. I also enjoy the finer things in life, which explains why I love being a part of the Royal Family.
Prince Pierre Goldman
Royal Sales Executive
#knightinshiningarmour I started selling sandwiches on Boulders Beach when I was seven. Since then I have qualified as a magician, done a bit of modelling, learned Portuguese, studied acting, got into debt, exported sugar, started my own bartending company in Brazil, got out of debt, ridden motorbikes, worked as a waiter and designed mobi sites. I now go on sales quests for the Pesto Princess. I didn’t see that one coming….
Princess Karin Hildebrandt
Palace Operations Manager
#farmgirl I am a family person at heart, and love spending time at home with my daughter, our two dogs, the hamster and the goldfish. I grew up on a farm and that explains all the animals, and why you’ll find me in my vegetable patch, or making boontjiesop in the kitchen over the weekends. At Pesto Princess I love spotting talent in my team and helping to develop it.
Princess Rachael Mujuru
#gospelsinger Although I am originally from Zimbabwe, most of my working life has been spent outside of my home country which is really rather sad, as I miss my family and don’t get to see them all that often. When I am not busy with the finances, I enjoy writing gospel songs and performing them at church. I find music is a wonderful way to unwind…
