Hello #LoyalRoyals

Now I love a good salad but it needs to be substantial. I really don’t want to be peering into the fridge again at 10pm in need of a snack!

So here are 10 of our favourite salad recipes for you, all in one place 😉 Share them with friends and family or scribble them on a note-to-self and stick it to the fridge.

And if it’s salad dressings you’re after, head this way.

With crunchy, fresh love to you and yours

1. Grilled Braai Salad with a Dreamy Pesto Dressing & Crunchy Croutons

Instead of taking a salad to a braai, how about a salad to make on the braai? This one’s got crunch, creaminess and all those delicious smokey braai flavours. Find out how to turn a simple fresh iceberg lettuce into a salad that’s worth talking about.

3. Whipped Feta with Basil Pesto & Roast Tomatoes

OK so this one isn’t ‘technically’ a salad but we couldn’t resist adding it to the list as it is ridiculously satisfying to make. Get your food processor ready (and some nachos to scoop it all up). Step-by-step recipe this way.

4. Warm Brassica & Butter Bean Salad

Nourishing and substantial, this salad goes with literally everything. Try it alongside a roast chicken or take it to your next bring-‘n-braai. It can even be the star of the show with thick slices of warm bread and butter (here you go).

5. Crunchy Rainbow Salad

This Crunchy Rainbow Salad is a firm Palace favourite because it’s fuss-free with plenty of nutritional kudos on account of the raw veg. The hummus and the cottage cheese provide that little bit of luxury. In fact, it’s a great way to get friends and family who dismiss salads as ‘rabbit food’ to reconsider and dig in. Find the recipe here.

6. Vegan Caesar Salad with Chickpea Croutons

Chickpeas are up there with my favourite back-of-the-cupboard ingredients and in this Vegan Caesar Salad they steal the show as the perfect foil for the oh-so-creamy dressing. Feel free to sub out, change up and get creative with what you have at home. Here is the recipe.

I must avoid wheat. Please recommend some gluten free foods. I am sure other people are also better off without wheat products.
