This year we encourage you to celebrate the festive season in true South African style around the braai. Out with the snowmen and the reindeer. Christmas in South Africa is all about sun, sunhats, clear skies, braaikole, sandy beach towels and slops. It’s the chance to do less texting and more talking, face-to-face with the special people in our lives.
We’re loving this quote from Aussie poet, Pam Brown.
“We expect too much at Christmas. It’s got to be magical. It’s got to go right. Feasting. Fun. The perfect present. All that anticipation. Take it easy. Love’s the thing. The rest is tinsel.”
Rainbow Trout with Basil and Chilli Pesto
Most of our festive recipes this year can even be prepared outside, like this beautiful rainbow trout with our brand new Pesto Princess Basil & Chilli Pesto.

Asara MCC Brut 2015
Looks like Bottled in a traditional Champagne shaped bottle, under natural cork. Elegantly labelled with the top covered in gold foil. In the glass, the pale golden straw-coloured wine is filled with the tiniest of bubbles rushing helter skelter to the surface where they form a crown around the edges.
Smells like Whenever I try the Asara MCC Brut 2015, I am happily surprised by the wonderful Granny Smith apple aromas.
It tastes like The flavours of citrus refresh and the fresh baked brioche toastiness adds to the interest. Its elegant, crisp ending just begs you to take another sip.
